Description: Leucadendron Flamingo is a medium shrub that has dense green foliage year-round. The flower heads boast a bronzy red base to the flower bracts giving an interesting texture, this then changes to a bright yellow in winter/spring. It’s straight upright growing habits are perfect for flower arrangements or as a feature plant.
Suitable for commercial cut flower production. Prefers well drained acidic soil. Pruning recommended after flowering. Frost tolerable to -5 degrees C.
How to look after Leucadendron Golden Mitre:
Although Leucadendrons are drought tolerant, soil should be kept moist in the first year until plant is established, once established they may require some watering in extremely dry conditions.
Prune Leucadendron Flamingo by removing flowers (which are popular in floral arrangements) this will encourage new growth and help maintain shape of plant.
