Description: Leucadendron Deacon Red is a large fine leafed evergreen shrub with red foliage which produces masses of cone like flowers in spring.
Leucadendron Deacon Red is suitable as a hedging plant due to its dense quick growing foliage, however can also be used as a feature plant.

Plant in a free draining acidic soil.
Although Leucadendrons are drought tolerant, soil should be kept moist in the first year until plant is established, once established they may require some watering in extremely dry conditions.
Prune Leucadendron Deacon Red after flowering to maintain shape and size.
